Dave has been named the Vice Chair of the NEW
Property Management and Leasing Committee in the
Collin County Association of Realtors. Dave has been
the advocate trying to get it going for the North
Dallas County. After about 18 months of suggestion
and planting the seeds it has become official.
The chair is Past President of CCAR J.C. Posey and
will be meeting around 6 times a year for now until
it builds up. I will appreciate your participation
to help it get going and be a strong educational
addition. Dave is also attending the “Texas
Realtor Leadership Program III” hosted by the CCAR.

Start now on getting your affiliates to look at
joining NARPM.
In the November 15th meeting we will discuss incentives to
offer them. We need 11 (we have one new one and one
potential) new affiliates over the course of the
next year. New vendors can get 15 months for the
price of 12. Have tem contact Cary to get processed.
  Its
day 158 of the Chapter of the year run, We had a
great showing at convention, 30% of membership We
have a “Texas” meeting. We are a 3rd of
the way there
that will be in conjunction with the TAR sessions in
February. We now have designation classes our
chapter is hosting. We need volunteer support
and charity ideas. Get your paper work going to
get your designation or finish your paper to get
it done. You “are” the BEST of NARPM. Let’s
make it known in Hawaii 2008. There is far
too much talent in Dallas for us not to make it to
the “Super Bowl” of chapters. Say you’ll be a part
of it, Just some work and effort and fun along the
way.

Dave should have an
article in the November Issue. The deadline above is
for the January Issue. Please take a moment and
commit some of your expertise to paper so we can
share with the NARPM community. With all
the heavyweights in this chapter we should have one
in each edition of Residential Resource.
I personally have sponsored a soldier who has
requested a tall order. A computer. I have $95
already in generous contributions toward it, some
form Hawaii. His name is PFC Levar Henderson and
will be in Iraq until December 2008. Please let me
know if you would like to get your name on my list
when I send him stuff anfd his computer when I make

NARPM is digging in this issue please attend and
report the findings of these meetings.
There will be a meeting at the Dallas City Hall on
Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at 9:00 AM. This
meeting is to discuss the proposed $200.00/year tax
on rental properties in the City of Dallas . There
will be a forum to voice your opinion.
~~~~~~There will be a meeting of several Dallas area
property owners, Dallas City Councilman, Next
meeting sep 12th 9 am
and other interested individuals on September 4th at
9:00 am at the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce located
in The Bank of America building 400 S. Zang, Suite
110, Dallas, TX 75208. The subject of the meeting
will be the "Rental Inspection Program." This
program will affect all single family rental
property in the City of Dallas. This program is
farther along than any of us realize and will
greatly affect how you do business and all of it in
a negative way. You have probably heard about
similar programs in Mesquite and Garland, well now
it is coming to Dallas with no input from the
property owners. We may still be able to make a
difference, please plan on attending this meeting.
