~~~~~~~~~~Some of the great things that just happended~~~~Thursday August 16^th (3^rd Thu) Regular meeting 11:00 AM.  “ASK THE ATTORNEY” --- Richard Armstrong our visiting Lawyer. We will also had discussion on Section 8 from an Expert panel. The meeting was held at MetroTex at 11 am just after the leasing and Property management Committee meeting.Thank You so much Susan Albern. Our National Director came July 26^th. A great turnout and some really great presentaion. “People, Personalities and Politics”, “Measuring Success”. Also “What is NARPM” We gave away education Scholarships and half off a new memebr ----Rental Home Plus and Texas Re-Keysponsoring.~~~~~~~~~

Judge Al Cercone was a great event July 19^th. He will be back in October and Dallas NARPM will sponsor again and it is a great class. MCE accredited ~ Our chapter will promote NARPM entering and leaving the event with an information table and make a statement to this sold out event. We will need some volunteers for this. Get your designation. – The convention is the next opportunity to get some more classes toward your designation. We want you to succeed and this is the way.   Soon I will send out sample content for web pages using the degree of professionalism you show but gaining the RMP, MPM or  the CRMC designation It is really important for our members to get to work on our designations; it will be a great tool and set us out from the crowd.  Make your plans now to work toward your designation. This is a great opportunity to push our chapter to the recognition goals we have for this upcoming year, but more importantly, for yourself.  Our point campaign depends on members getting designations; help your self and your business while you help Greater Dallas, what a deal.  DETAILS  This year is the best year do get the RMP, we need to get our side of the pasture signed up.  Mark is a fabulous speaker and mentor. Shhhh! ---The dallasnarpm.org Library. We are adding information all the time to Dallas NARPM web library. The dallasnarm.org Library will be a place to find all kinds of Property Management information. An Article on Bill 3101 has just been posted. You can find Residential Resource issues and the recent 3 articles our chapter wrote for submission to be published. Each month we will submit several articles. Start writing yours now so you’ll have plenty of time to tweak it before it’s due around the 10^th of August. You can see all 3 articles submitted this month and we’ll track the ones that get published. There also info on writing them. Forms to sign up for committees and join NARPM or become an Affiliate, all the forms are there. Also you ill find the meeting archive so you can brush up on meeting to had to be with a client through. Discussion Topics will appear there as they wind up. The end of October we will do a Waco rendezvous meeting with Austin. We have talked about a bowling tournament or some thing like that. More details to come

NARPM is digging in this issue please attend and report the findings of these meetings.  There will be a meeting at the Dallas City Hall on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at 9:00 AM.  This meeting is to discuss the proposed $200.00/year tax on rental properties in the City of Dallas .  There will be a forum to voice your opinion. ~~~~~~There will be a meeting of several Dallas area property owners, Dallas City Councilman, Next meeting sep 12th 9 am and other interested individuals on September 4th at 9:00 am at the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce located in The Bank of America building 400 S. Zang, Suite 110, Dallas, TX 75208. The subject of the meeting will be the "Rental Inspection Program." This program will affect all single family rental property in the City of Dallas. This program is farther along than any of us realize and will greatly affect how you do business and all of it in a negative way. You have probably heard about similar programs in Mesquite and Garland, well now it is coming to Dallas with no input from the property owners. We may still be able to make a difference, please plan on attending this meeting.

Get your orders now and there is an extra large already that we have someone can get. They have our chapter logo and are worn on a chosen night of the convention. Its day 74 of the Chapter of the year run, We have a new City of Dallas issue to deal with We’ve Been talking to AUSTIN about a meeting in Waco to have some fun, share notes and talk about a regional or “Texas” meeting. We’ve Been on e-mail to the USO. Working on getting applications for our designation classes the first of next year. Been talking to Ft Worth. Kevin is going to get Tulsa on-line about a startup chapter. We have new members, new members and new members. Get your paper work going to get your designation or finish your paper to get it done. You “are” the BEST of NARPM. Let’s make it known in Hawaii 2008. There is far too much talent in Dallas for us not to make it to the “Super Bowl” of chapters. Say you’ll be a part of it, Just some work and effort and fun along the way.

Its time to write articles again. Deadline September 12^th. See Marks article in the current issue, its out now. We submitted 3 last month and we need to submit 2 or 3 for the next issue. Cary, Dave and Mark wrote last month and we have those in the library for your enjoyment and information. Anything you write will benefit the group regardless. Because September/October is one issue the next deadline will be the September for November. Put your expertise caps on and get us some knowledge to share. With all the heavyweights in this chapter we should have one in each edition of Residential Resource.

Start now on getting your affiliates to look at joining NARPM. In the August 16^th meeting we will discuss incentives to offer them. We need 12 new affiliates over the course of the next 332 days. They are ticking down.

Property Management and Leasing Committee in Collin County is in the Works. Due to the success and growing need CCAR will be working toward getting this committee and meetings going for the benefit of members. The Metrotex version is extremely well attended. Greater Dallas NARPM usually holds meeting just following the committee and it is always a very educational meeting. Please e-mail dave@dallasnarpm.org for more information.
